Congratulations to the Spartan Chamber and Symphonic Orchestra on their UIL performance on Thursday, March 10th. Symphonic Orchestra received straight 1’s along with two 2’s and Chamber Orchestra got straight 2’s and a 1 on their sight-reading. Each Orchestra has worked extremely hard for this moment and everyone is so proud of what they have accomplished.

Orchestra is very proud of how they did this year and how much they have improved.

“Overall we did pretty good for this being the first UIL year out of COVID,” said sophomore, Kaylee Brown. “Although it wasn’t what we expected as an orchestra, Mr. Woodard and the rest of the orchestra students know that we have grown an extraordinary amount.”

The Orchestra team loved seeing how much their effort paid off.

“My favorite part was the journey we as an orchestra took to get where we are today. Throughout the entire year, I can state that for me especially,” said sophomore, Xavier Martinez. “I have grown more than I have in those 5 weeks in preparation for UIL than I did in my 5 years of playing the cello.”

Students and staff loved watching the orchestras grow throughout the year and can’t wait to see what they have in store for next year.
