Girls basketball started pre-season a while ago. So far they look like a young promising team. The girls are 5-4 as of right now. They will start district play on December 11th against Dayton. The girls were able to take a clean sweep by all three teams against Klein Forest on December 1st. The varsity finished out the night with a final score of 54-36. Angelina Khalaf and Azariah Ellis both led the team with 16 points followed by Emily Knollenberg with 9 points and 9 rebounds.

The guys basketball pre-season started a week after the girls. So far they are 3-1 and have key contributors. Key players to watch are Senior Colby Christian and the Junior trio Keshun Simon, Caleb Garcia, and Luke Currier. On December 1st, the boys took on Willis. While it was a point for point game, your Spartans came out on top. Christian had a halfcourt buzzer-beater to end the first half. The final score ended 56 – 54. Currier led with 23 points followed by Christian with 13.
