This year was an unexpected ride for Porter Volleyball.
The girls finished off with a record of 8-6 in district play and 8-10 as an overall record. The girls were able to make a playoff appearance, as it was one of the goals at the beginning of the season.
They took on the number 1 seed, Magnolia. Unfortunately, the ladies took a defeat in 3 sets but were the first team in the school to clench a playoff spot so far. Their season came to a close, but many great things were accomplished by the seniors this season. From only winning 3 games last season to being a playoff contender. As the next chapter in life continues for the graduating classes, they definitely made their mark in Porter Volleyball.
“Being able to make it all four years of volleyball is crazy. It was a bittersweet moment since that was the last time I will ever play volleyball. I’m very happy we got to leave a mark here,” says senior Lauren Kasel.
While this season was very long and full of rollercoasters, they definitely showed people Porter is able to compete.
