Congratulations to the tennis team on their victory this new fall season. Porter Tennis had their first match Tuesday, August 25th against Dayton. The coaches and staff are incredibly proud of how hard the team worked in preparation for this new season.

The team has had a dramatic increase in new people joining and they had a great time at their first team tennis match.

“I think it went very well,” freshman varsity player Shea Kinney said. “It was a great first experience!”

With more games to come, the tennis team is up for the challenge. Their hard work in preparation for the season has left them with plenty of confidence to take future matches head-on.

“All of our practices and scrimmage games have been great for everyone on the team,” sophomore varsity player Briana Gonzalez said. “It has left us feeling more confident for this fall season.”

Tennis certainly has been growing in size, but that’s not the only thing that’s growing this year.

“We have had a lot of new players join,” Coach Stoltz, head tennis coach said “But what I love the most is the increased interest in learning all about tennis.”
