FCA Movie Night

FCA+Movie+Night

Fellowship Of Christain Athletes (FCA) has started putting on movie nights once a month. Last month, they showed the movie God’s Not Dead, which came out in April of 2014. This movie is about a college male student who has an atheist professor. The professor wants the college student to deny his faith/beliefs in God, but, since he failed to deny it, the professor told him he must prove the true existence of God, or else he will fail him. FCA movie night will be going on once a month every month in the near future. Stop by and join FCA for a great movie night experience.

“FCA had a huge impact in my life,” Coach Evans-Pickens said. “[I’ve] been involved since middle school, it guided me through high school. [It has] got me through tough times in my life.”

According to Coach Leonard, FCA is a safe place to gather and spread the word.

“[I like] being able to reach out and share God’s word with people, strengthen our relationship with Christ, and provide people with an atmosphere of joy and peace,” Leonard said.

According to Gavin Jackson, FCA is a space where anyone, from any age group, can build relationships with people who share the same beliefs.

“FCA is important because, before it, I didn’t really know kids loved the lord,” Jackson said. “It really tempered with my faith and the negative energy but just being able to be around people you know love the lord like you’s just really important.”

According to Emily Knollenberg, she likes God’s Not Dead because the scenes throughout the movie are impactful.

“It gives a really good picture of Christians and their role in the school system,” Knollenberg said. “Showing what he believed in his life, like when they went to the concert and how he was bold enough to text his professor. That one experience can change someone’s life.”

Why do you like FCA?

I like FCA because the people you see in FCA have a nice heart. It’s one of the main reasons I come to school.

Why is FCA important to you?

fca is important because before it I didn’t really know kids loved the lord. And it really tempered with my faith and the negative energy but just being able to be around people you know love the lord like you’s just really important.

Do you have a problem expressing your faith?

No, I don’t. If someone says the lord’s name in vain I would say I’m not comfortable with it, and I’m able to stop conversations I’m not comfortable with, but other than that, I can easily say that I am not ashamed of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
