The boys concluded their season in 5th place in district play. Just nearly missing the playoffs. They finished off the season with a record of 8-6 in district play and a12-14over the entire season.
“We had a great year with many positives in which to build upon moving forward,” Assistant Coach Cody Wynn said. “Ultimately, we came up one game short of the playoffs, but we’re extremely proud of the group as a whole. We couldn’t have had the success we had with our senior leaders. Extremely proud of the following guys: Colby Christian, Isaiah Vaughn, Kaleb Farmer, and Max Cargell.”
Head Coach Tody Reid graduates 4 seniors but returns a core group for next season. He describes it as a season with a whole lot of ups and downs. Playoffs were definitely in the grabs.
“Isaiah and Colby were crucial players, however, we have a lot of young players coming up. With the young core group, the future is bright for Porter Basketball.”
While losing their last game, it eliminated them from the postseason. However, with the young core group, Coach Reid believes a playoff spot and even a district championship can be seen in the near future.
