The orchestra team just kicked off the fall season with their very first concert of the 2023 school year. On September 29, orchestra students performed some traditional Halloween and fall-themed pieces. The concert orchestra played “Mexican Folk Song” by Cielito Lindo and “Hey Fiddle Fiddle!” by Brian Balmages. The symphonic orchestra played “Lights on the Water” by M.L. Daniels, “The Haunted Carousel” by Soon Hee Newbold, and “Ghostbusters” by Ray Parker.
Last but not least, the chamber orchestra played “This is Halloween” by Danny Elfman, “Phantom Waltz” by Chris Thomas, and “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” by Leslie Bricusse & Anthony Newley. The orchestra did not disappoint and gave a fantastic performance Friday night. The orchestra also announced that Gabriel Villegas and Solomon Crober made All-Region and will perform at the Region Concert taking place November 4.
