The winner of the ROTC college scholarship was senior Payton Diehl.

How do you feel about wining a free college scholarship?                                                                                                                  –  “I am very  proud of myself. The thing that I’m most proud of is proving people wrong because I never had a back up plan. I was always very confident that I was gonna get this scholarship.”

Did you expect to win this scholarship?                                                                                                                                                   –  ” Yes, I was very confident because I have a 4.0 GPA, top of my class and high majority and I manifested it by believing in myself.”

What did you have to do to win this scholarship?                                                                                                                                –  ” Out of 400 Air force JROTC cadets in the nation only 200 where selected as finalists for the Interview board. I was nominated by my instructor and had to answer questions about leadership, ROTC, and my values. Only a 100 where selected out of the whole nation and I was one of them.”

What do you plan to study for in college?                                                                                                                                                –  ” I’m doing Air Force ROTC for four years so I’m gonna major in psychology and minor in law. Ultimately I want to be a lawyer and jag officer in the military attorney.”
