DECA advances to state

Kenzie Zipprian, Creative Director

Porter DECA competed at Woodlands High School January 15-16.  They are continuing to work hard, and pushing for Nationals this year! All of the members went to state, while President Kenzie Zipprian and Vice President Brandon Kusaj sat this one out. The other officers, Landon Folmer, Austin Lashley, and Emily McFelia filled in for them. They are very proud of the hard work they put in to build this club from scratch. Our members that went to state are:

Karmen Turk – Accounting Applications

Landon Folmar, Emily McFelia – Project Management Community Awareness

Mahmud Nobi, Austin Lashley, Nathan Argueta – Project Management Sales Project

Sophia Simmons – Sports and Entertainment Marketing Research

These students will all be competing in Houston, Texas, from February 24-26.

Sophomore Emily McFelia said “The environment is really nice and the people were so kind and not rude at all”

Sophomore Landon Folmer said ” The judge gave really good advice and was very honest in the kindest way possible”
