This past month has been a great time for the Spartans in the Porter Art Club. With two competitions, the New Caney ISD Rodeo Art Show which celebrated their 25th anniversary this year, and the Austin Rodeo Art Competition.
On Thursday, January 11, in the Randall Reed community room, NCISD held their annual Rodeo Art Show where students from the entire District from K-12 got to show their Rodeo Art. Porter got multiple entries into the Houston Rodeo Art Show which will go into Auction with the Houston Rodeo Youth Auction.
Then on Friday, February 2, the 40 students from the Porter Art Club went to Austin, TX, and entered their artwork into the Austin Rodeo Art Competition. With this year being a very difficult year, they were glad to announce that one student, Aranna Dupuis placed 5th out of 20 Finalists and will be selling her art on March 23 in Silent Auction.
The Art Club will be ending its Rodeo Art season on April 12, at the Conroe Montgomery Country Fair Art Contest. Wishing the best of luck to these young and aspiring artists on their last contest, and again congratulations to Arianna Dupuis and all the Finalists in the NCISD Art Show.
