The anticipation is thick as the volleyball season reaches its midway point after months of the junior varsity and varsity teams playing to the best of their ability. So far, the volleyball team is 2-0 in the preseason, excluding tournaments.
“I think it’s going well,” senior Carmen Condarco said. “I think we have a good atmosphere, a family atmosphere.”
The team continues to work hard and prepare for future games.
“Preparing has been a lot especially since we have a new coaching staff,” said Condarco.
Moreover, the introduction of the new volleyball coaching staff is a recent change. However, the coaches have been able to adjust and adapt quickly, and the team has welcomed this change.
“Everybody has been super helpful and it’s been an amazing transition,” said junior varsity coach Kirsten Thompson. ”I am most looking forward to building these relationships and helping these players not just develop into athletes, but into young adults and accountable ones.”
”My expectation for this is to make it to playoffs,” said Thompson.
