Is this year our year?

Battle Line on 59 is September 1st at Randell Reed Stadium. As many people know Battle Line is one of the biggest games of the year, unfortunately New Caney has beaten Porter for 12 years taking home the trophy, it’s time for a change. 

This annual game tradition includes the biggest rivalries in NCISD New Caney Eagles and the Porter Spartans both battling for who is the best in the district. This ongoing feud between the school is what makes the community come together and enjoy a old fashioned Friday night fun playing game off of highway 59.”I look forward to Battle Line every year, I love it because i feel like this is the only time the school gets together as a whole and supports are football team,” said student of Porter Highschool Kimberley Gonzalez.

Last year in the light rains and roaring crowds Porter added to they’re significant losing streak September 2nd 2022,will there be a change this year?

“This school obviously has a lot of kids in they’re program and they’ve had a lot of success and I really like our guys, I like the quality of the kids we have I like our Seniors. I believe our senior class provides great leadership there have been 4 students that have gone through battle line 2 or 3 times and I like the way they’re leading they’re team right now” says the head coach of the varsity football team James Russell.
