Speech and Debate Club are starting strong. This year they are attending a tournament in Waller, TX. They have many goals in mind, and plan on achieving a gold trophy this year.
Waller will be the first tournament for Speech and Debate this year and they are very excited. They will be competing on October 27, a very similar event like Lincoln Douglas, CX, or Congress. Their main focus will be on CX.
“We are currently preparing for our Waller Tournament and because of that we are mostly focusing on Policy Debate and expanding our knowledge on what’s happening in society,” says junior captain Emily Serrano.
The Speech and Debate club consists of Isabella Bowers, Bella Graham, Diana Santiago, Kylie Kunkel, Samantha Cerda, Patricia Piampracha, Noah Hawver, Abby Grentz, Andrik Barriga, Kiara Rivera, Juelz Washington, Kennedy Miller, Daniela Loreto, Juan Rios, and Emily Serrano.
