As students roamed the halls on their first days of school, many noticed that there weren’t any vending machines. Little did they know that the staff had quite of a surprise for them. School owned vending machines! August 16, 2023 was the very first day that the new vending machines were open to the school. We asked students and staff how they felt about the new vending machines.
“I like them considering I designed them. It was Mr. Condarco’s idea, but I went and bought them at the best price I could,” said assistant principal Mr. Reese.
This product is a great addition to PHS especially for students who take after school extracurricular activities who are very hungry towards the end of the day. The variety of new options these vending machines have are also better for people who have health problems, such as low blood pressure and low blood sugar incase they need a snack.
“I feel fine about them especially since the money is gonna go towards the school,” said Kayla Dimalanta.
The vending machines seem to be an attraction all across the school. As of now there are only four but they are super successful!
The school store has also been changed, and is not only upstairs. It is still student run and all proceeds go back to the classes and school, but can only be used when you have a class upstairs.
