On September 20, the Criminal Justice club had their second meeting of the year. At this meeting, Criminal Justice voted on officer positions and discussed specific practice days.
“Our first competition is gonna be February 8 through the tenth, it’s gonna be SkillsUSA in Beaumont. I expect teams to do well because we are gonna practice a lot and we’re gonna emphasize being here anytime that you can to practice because if you don’t practice, you’re not gonna be better,” said Officer and CJ teacher Juan Estrada said. “I have high expectations from everybody in the club, so we can continue to win and do well.”
CJ President senior Belen Diaz said, “This upcoming season, I feel like we’ll do better this year, I’m just very excited about the new people joining us because I know we will do great, and I know we have two really good advisors that will help get us to state.” Diaz also said, “I feel great as being the president I know that I’ll be more considerate about everyone in the club. To me right now it’s just a label, but I know that “running the club”, I’ll be able to guide people and help them if they have any ideas for the club or how to make them better.”
