Freshman year is considered one of the most exciting years of high school. The transition from middle school to high school has new things that the new students have to adjust. The new class of freshman of the 2023-2024 school year has a lot to say about their first week of school.
“So far, I really like it because its a new school and its better,” Nair Cardona said.
“It’s going really well I thought I would’ve went worse but no it’s going really well,” one freshman said.
Every freshman has different opinions about the things they like and dislike about high school. According to a survey given to freshman, the majority don’t like some of their classes and don’t like that the hallways are crowded during passing periods. On a positive note, they love the activities they are involved in and the opportunities that they are given.
” The best thing is that I get to choose classes that help me with my future job,” Lesley Hernandez said.
“I like the opportunities it gives me,” Briana Cruz said.
Upper-classmen have some advice to give to the new incoming freshman. When taking a survey the majority said “Do your work and pass your classes it will catch you in the long run” or ” Have fun and be involved in extracurricular activities”
We wish the best of luck to our freshmen in their next four years of high school.
