On Friday, October 21, the HOCO Court stepped out on the field as the pregame of our annual Homecoming game. In our 23-24 Homecoming Court were as Senior Representatives: Isabella Bustos, Kirsten DeAlmeida, Cameron Valles, Carmen Condarco, Cantrell Brooks, James Devore, Ryan Gilliam, and Logan McGowan, Junior Representatives: Adrian Estrada & Madison Case, Sophomore Representatives: Landon Binford & Jahnae Nickerson, Freshmen representatives: Devin Grubbs & Amie Casey. At the end of the ceremony, we ended with the crowning of this year’s Homecoming King and Queen, Seniors, Ryan Gilliam and Carmen Condarco.

After, our Varsity Spartan Football team competed against the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots. This game from the beginning was a Victory run for our Porter Spartans, scoring 2 touchdowns for the first 3 quarters of the game. Ending of the night with a victorious 42-7 win. Our Spartans sent the Patriots home quickly on their Homecoming Game night.

The next day on Saturday, October 22, our Spartans celebrated this victory with the Annual Homecoming Dance put together and hosted by our Student Council. This year’s theme was ‘A Night in Neverland’ based on the movie Peter Pan. Main Street is set up as London to the beautiful scenery of Neverland in the Cafeteria. Even the courtyard was set up with lights and the movie Peter Pan playing through the night.

In the end, our Spartans had a blast celebrating Homecoming these two nights from the Grand Victory of our Porter Spartan Football team, and the amazing dance the following night thanks to our Student Council.
