Culinary students hosts their first Café of the year for teachers

Kori Wilkinson

Ms. Brandy Smith’s culinary classes had their first PHS Café of the year on Thursday, October 21st.  Smith says her classes spent lots of time testing recipes, creating shopping lists, and preparing the food. Over 70 orders were placed, many of those being the chicken parmesan, which was also featured in last year’s Café.

The culinary students were very happy to hear their teachers talking about their work. Not only did the chicken parmesan receive great reviews but Smith had teachers coming into her room to complement the desserts her students made.

Culinary has many events they are looking forward to, one of which being the Sorters Mill Fall Festival that culinary students will be making cookies for.

If you would like to try the work of the PHS culinary students, make sure to stop by Sorters Mill Elementary on November 11 from 4:30-7 pm.
