Cosmetology helps bring awareness to human trafficking

Throughout the school year, cosmetology has been spreading awareness about human trafficking.

From the beginning of the school year, cosmetology has created and hung up several posters about human trafficking. These posters include QR codes, hotlines, and links for victims of human trafficking.

With Houston being one of the largest hubs for human trafficking, cosmetology made it their goal to raise awareness to students and staff of the dangers of human trafficking.

“It is something that happens on a daily basis around the world, in the state of Texas and even in our area,” said Cosmetology President, Jocelyn Hernandez. “We thought we should spread the word and make everyone alert of this serious problem.”
