Porter high school’s fine arts department will be holding auditions for the upcoming musical, Grease. Auditions will be held on September 27-30.

After all the staff changes to the school this year, it was decided that having a musical would be great for students and the community to get together.

“We knew we wanted to do something big, we knew we wanted something that would get the students and the community really excited about it,” said David Soward. “Mr. Goedecke and I started talking about this in May and we went through a dozen or so titles and we really felt like Grease was something that everybody could just love.”

For auditions, there will be roles available for singers, dancers, and actors. Auditions will be held throughout the week of September 27-30 in the auditorium at 3:30.

“Any student should tryout because it is going to be fun. This is going to be a huge show it’s going to have a lot of spectacles, our version of Grease will be like non-other seen before. The show itself is going to be you, it going to have people in it and it’s going to be fun, and it’s Grease, it’s just fun,” “said Soward.
