The Theatre Club gave their first-ever performance of the classic Grease musical on January 25th. Grease, released in 1978, is known to be one of the most successful and widely known musicals of all time.

Jordan Gaddis, who played the role of Teen Angel, spoke highly of her experience in being a part of the musical.

“I love everyone here, and they’re all fantastic, and it’s been such a good experience,” Gaddis said. “It’s been really positive. Everyone’s really close I feel and it’s been really fun.”

Isabelle Duran, who took on the lovable role of Jan, discussed how excited she was to perform on opening night.

“Being on stage in front of people, brings me joy always,” Duran said.

Everyone, both leads, and chorus had an amazing time, working together to perform a wonderful show.

Julissa Piña, one of the chorus members, expressed,  “It’s a really fun play. I’m most excited for people to come to see the show because we worked really hard on it.”

After countless weeks of rehearsals, a riveting performance was delivered, and the audience gave many positive reviews.

The Theatre club will also have additional showings on February 3rd and February 4th. Tickets can be purchased on the Spartan Theatre Co. website or portertheatre.ludus.com
